Are your treatments safe for people and pets?
Yes, when applied correctly. Apex uses products registered with the APVMA, applied by licensed technicians at the recommended rates. Your technician will explain what to do before and after the treatment, such as keeping children and pets away from treated areas until they are dry, covering fish tanks and putting pet bowls away. If anyone in your home has allergies, asthma or is pregnant, let us know when booking and we will tailor the treatment to suit.
Do I need to leave my home during treatment?
In most cases you won't need to leave for long, but you may need to keep out of treated areas until they are dry. Your technician will explain what's needed for your treatment.
How long does a pest treatment last?
It depends on the pest, the treatment used and conditions around the property. Our general pest packages come with up to 12 months warranty (terms and conditions apply), and your technician will explain what to expect for your treatment.
What happens after a treatment?
Your technician will explain what was done and any precautions to follow, and you'll receive a report of the treatment with recommendations to help prevent pests returning.
How often should my business have pest control?
The frequency depends on your industry, location and pest risk. Many businesses benefit from quarterly treatments, while some higher-risk environments may require monthly pest management programs.
Can treatments be carried out during business hours?
In many cases, yes. Apex can also schedule treatments before or after hours to minimise disruption to your business.
Do you provide reports and documentation?
Yes. Apex provides digital reports documenting treatments completed, chemicals used and recommendations, which can support your compliance and audit requirements.
Can Apex treat both strata common areas and individual residences?
Yes. Apex treats both common areas and individual residences, and individual lot specials apply on the day of service for common area treatments.
Will strata managers receive pest control reports?
Yes. Strata managers receive digital reports documenting the treatments completed, chemicals used and recommendations.
Why do I need a termite inspection?
Termites can cause damage before they are noticed. A professional inspection can help identify signs of termite activity and assess potential risks around the property.
How often should my property be inspected for termites?
Australian Standard AS 3660.2 recommends termite inspections at least every 12 months, and more often for properties in higher-risk areas or with a history of termite activity.
How much does a termite inspection cost?
A visual termite inspection is $350. If termite activity or risk is found, treatment options are priced after the inspection, based on the size of the property and the solution that suits it best.
What happens during a termite inspection?
The technician checks accessible areas inside and outside the property for termite activity, damage and conditions that attract termites, using tools such as the FLIR MR176 thermal imaging moisture meter. You then receive a report of the findings.
